Are You Making These Color Mistakes?
Mistake 1: Defaulting to black
It feels safe, but for many people it can drain the face and look harsh.
Try instead: choose your best neutral like navy, charcoal, chocolate, taupe, pewter & stone.
Mistake 2: Buying the wrong colors in the sales because they were bargains
If the colour isn’t quite right, it won’t do you any favours (no matter the bargain). Try instead: shop with your colour wallet and stick to your palette.
Mistake 3: Ignoring your contrast level
Do you look better in tonal or contrasting shades?
Try instead: take a second to look at your outfit each day and ask yourself, is this the right level of contrast.
Mistake 4: Forgetting makeup and accessories
The wrong lipstick, metal or scarf can undo even the most flattering outfit.
Try instead: use your color wallet to choose makeup, jewellery and accessories.
Mistake 5: Saving your best colors for ‘special occasions’
Your most flattering shades are meant for everyday, not the back of the wardrobe.
Try instead: wear your colors regularly and enjoy the compliments.
A few small tweaks can make a huge difference to how fresh, confident and pulled-together you look.
Beyond Clothes: Your Head-to-Toe Color Harmony
Be-jewelled
Don’t forget that your jewellery sits directly against your skin! Wear your best shades, especially in necklaces and earrings. Choose your best metal and enjoy experimenting with different jewel and pearl tones.
Lights – Gold, silver, rose gold. Lighter colours as stones and or beads. Aquamarine, Citrine, peridot, light amethyst
Deeps – Gold, silver, rose gold. Deeper shades as jewellery, especially when wearing lighter shades. Jet, tortoiseshell, ruby, emerald.
Warms – Warm, earthy tones, gold, bronze, tortoiseshell, amber, turquoise, topaz
Cools – Silver, platinum, opal, amethyst, sapphire, tanzanite
Clears – The brighter the better! silver, rose gold, gold, platinum, sapphire, peridot, Citrine
Softs – Silver or gold (brushed metals are the most flattering). Jade, tortoiseshell, opal, amethyst, turquoise, pearls

Focus on the Face
Your glasses frames are the most “permanent” accessory you wear, sitting front and centre every day. The right color can brighten your features and complement your skin tone, but it should also reflect your personal style and personality. Choose shades that feel like you and flatter your look, not just what’s trending. During a Style Consultation, my clients receive advice on frame shape and color.

The Nude Illusion: Finding Your Perfect Shoe Match
A nude shoe can be a game-changer in your wardrobe. It makes your legs look longer, is the ultimate in versatility and will give you effortless sophistication.
For too long, the fashion industry treated “nude” as a single shade of pale beige. Of course, I know that nude is a spectrum. To get that leg-lengthening magic, the shoe must mimic the undertone and depth of your unique skin. So your nude could be porcelain, or it could be espresso or any shade in between.
