Kaleidoscope Eyes

There’s craft in colour this season, as the idea of makeup as an embellishment carries through from spring/summer as a plethora of glitters, metallic and saturated hues. The newness? “They’re controlled; highly technical,” says Lyne Desnoyers, “there is nothing spontaneous or haphazard in their application.”

“It’s a clean, minimal element of design on the face,” adds Sam Bryant of these jolts of colour and texture that don’t conform to any set template of taste. While this is a less playful, more considered, take on multi-coloured makeup than we’ve seen of late, there’s still a spirit and youthful decadence to it.

“There’s a creativity in beauty now that feels more like art than makeup…anything goes,” says Romero Jennings.
